Kanye West Takes Stage For Surprise Performance Of ‘New Slaves’

Fans at Travi$ Scott‘s recent performance at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles were treated to a big surprise when Scott was joined by Kanye West for an impromptu performance of the Yeezus single New Slaves.

The entire performance was captured on video by a fan. The video depicts Scott requesting that the lights in the venue be turned down before explaining that in addition to being a rapper, he’s also a producer, and that he’s about to be joined by someone very special, saying “I got one of my…biggest mentors of all time.”

West then took to the stage to perform the track that he and Scott co-produced to an absolutely raucous crowd of very happy revellers. The mosh was instant as soon as the beat dropped and the crowd sang along with every word. A satisfied Kanye then receded in to the backstage area to the sound of a happy crowd.

Yeezus, West’s sixth studio album was released 18th June on Roc-A-Fella Records. Super-producer Rick Rubin, who worked on the album, has hinted that there might be a sequel to the album in the pipeline soon.
