Kendrick Lamar’s New Album Is Arriving Much Sooner Than You Think

Kendrick Lamar‘s new album is one of 2015’s most highly anticipated releases and thankfully it’s coming out much sooner than you think. Lamar took to Twitter today to share an iTunes link to the album which reveals the release date to be March 23rd – as in just over two weeks from now!

The iTunes page gives away very few other details. The album, currently called [untitled], will feature 16 tracks, one of which is Lamar’s most recent politically and racially scathing single The Blacker The Berry. Lamar’s Grammy-winning track i does not appear on the tracklisting.

It’s also unclear whether the untitled track Kendrick Lamar debuted on The Colbert Report will appear on the forthcoming album. According to saxophonist Terrance Martin, who performed on Colbert with Lamar, the west coast rapper wrote the song just a day before they appeared on the show and even improvised his way through the televised performance.

The new album will follow-up Lamar’s critically acclaimed 2012 release Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.
