The Killers remain on hiatus for the foreseeable future, something that resulted in frontman Brandon Flowers‘ first solo album, Flamingo. Now it seems that drummer Ronnie Vannucci is jumping on the solo bandwagon too, with the announcement he is about to make his own record.
Vannucci will head into the studio in London to record the album, and that’s about all that’s emerged at this time, though he did explain to BBC 6 Music (via NME.com) why he chose the city, saying, “The people I trust the most with music, some of those people are here. From the very first moment [the Killers] were here it solidified a bond that’s undeniable. It’s familiar now, it’s comforting.”
He added that a new Killers album remains a distant prospect but that they are far from splitting up, saying that the Las Vegas band remain open to one-off shows, such as their appearance at the Lollapalooza festival in Chile in April.
