King Khan & The Shrines Release ‘Born To Die’ From Upcoming Album ‘Idle No More’

After six long years away, Canada-formed, Berlin-based psychedelic soul band King Khan & The Shrines are back, today announcing the upcoming release of their fourth full-length studio effort for this September, the aptly titled Idle No More.

They’ve also dropped first single Born To Die (below), which we can definitely assure you is not a Lana Del Rey cover. This is the first new stuff from the tripped-out garage rock outfit since 2007’s What Is?! and it’s been promised to contain all of the sweaty, booty-moving riffs and melodies we’ve come to expect from the King and his band of merry men.

Fingers crossed that promo for the record brings the outfit back to our shores – the ruckus they caused on their maiden voyage to Oz for Falls Festival, Sunset Sounds and Southbound at the end of 2009 was nothing short of spectacular.

Idle No More is slated for release on Friday, 6th September.
