Kisschasy have announced their return to the live arena after two years, with a national tour set for June 2025. On the tour, the band will celebrate the vinyl release of their second studio album – 2007’s Hymns For The Non-Believer – by playing it in full. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be accessed below.
“Our last tour proved that the special connection we have with our fans is alive and stronger than ever,” said the band in a press statement. “We’ve been counting down the minutes until we can get back onto the stage, and there’s no better reason than having our second album Hymns For The Non-Believer released on vinyl for the very first time. As a band, we are tighter and more focused than we’ve ever been, and these shows will be proof of that.”
Kisschasy – ‘Spray-On Pants’
Joining the band on tour will be Perth’s Sly Withers and Melbourne’s Suzi. The former were last seen on the east coast at 2024’s Bigsound, and recently played a series of headlining shows in their native Western Australia. The latter, meanwhile, released her new single ‘Centrelink Summer’ on Tuesday (January 28th), as the lead track from her as-yet-untitled debut studio album.
Kisschasy originally reunited in 2022, performing at that year’s Good Things and playing their debut album (2005’s United Paper People) in its entirety. They followed this up with a headlining tour in May 2023, which took them across the country with support from Adelaide duo Towns and Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Bec Stevens.
Hymns For The Non-Believer was first released in July of 2007. It debuted at number five on the ARIA Albums Chart, the highest chart position of their career, and was later certified Gold. Its lead single, ‘Opinions Won’t Keep You Warm At Night’, was the band’s only top-10 hit and was also certified Gold by ARIA. Three other singles were released from the album: ‘Spray On Pants’, ‘Strings And Drums’ and ‘Ugly Birds In A Beautiful Cage’.
