Kurt Vile To Release New Album ‘Wakin On A Pretty Daze’ This April

Known and adored for his work with The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile is also seriously loved for his work as a solo performer – as evidenced by the news that Vile will be releasing his 5th solo album this April through Remote Control.

Vile found himself hopping between studios throughout North America when piecing together Wakin on a Pretty Daze but remained true to John Agnello, who produced the whole thing. The final result is a 69-minute double album and the first release since Vile’s 2011 Smoke Ring for My Halo, which was met with thunderous applause.

Pretty Daze will officially drop Friday, 5th April, but already the first taste test has been offered in the form of Wakin on a Pretty Day, which you can check out below the tracklisting. On top of this, Vile has also complied a doco on the creation of the record’s album art, designed on the side of a building by Steve Powers (aka ESPO). You can also watch the doco below.
