Kylie Minogue has revived her beloved Neighbours character Charlene as the star of a new Tourism Australia ad, along with a new jingle ‘Matesong’.
The ad is aimed at those in the United Kingdom in an effort to convince them to visit Australia, and if Britain loves anything more than colonialism, it’s Neighbours and Kylie Minogue.
The UK’s love affair with our biggest ever popstar was put on full display earlier this year when she played the iconic ‘Legends’ slot at Glastonbury, which turned out to be the festival’s most live-streamed performance ever.
