Lady Gaga Announces New Release Date For ‘Chromatica’

After postponing its initial release date, Lady Gaga has revealed when we’ll be hearing new album Chromatica – this month. Originally slated for an April 10 release, Gaga has now confirmed that her sixth studio album will be out Friday, 29th May.

“The journey continues. You can officially join me on #Chromatica on May 29,” wrote the art-pop star on Twitter earlier today.

Gaga has so far released just one single from 16-song album, sharing ‘Stupid Love’ back in February. However, after the tracklist was leaked late last month, we know Chromatica includes collaborations with Elton John, Arianda Grande and K-pop icons BLACKPINK.

Chromatica marks Gaga’s first album in four years, following up 2016’s Joanne.

It’s expected to be a lot more upbeat than the stripped-back, country-tinged Joanne. In an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe back in February, Gaga said of the record: “We are definitely dancing… I put all my heart, all my pain, all my messages from the other realm that I hear of… what they tell me to tell the world and I put it into music that I believe to be so fun and you know, energetically really pure.

“I want people to dance and feel happy. I would like to put out music that a big chunk of the world will hear, and it will become a part of their daily lives and make them happy every single day.”
