Lamb Of God To Rise Again At Resurrection Festival?

Lamb Of God have announced the band will play their first show of 2013 at Resurrection Festival in Spain this coming August, their first show to be announced since the commencement of frontman Randy Blythe’s manslaughter trial.

The announcement from Lamb Of God came by way of the band’s Twitter account and will see LOG share the bill with the likes of Slayer, Killswitch Engage and Bad Religion. It’s a bright spot for the metal outfit in what has otherwise been a precarious 2013 thus far.

Blythe’s trial has been postponed until early March while one witness recovers from illness. The trial so far has included testimony from many supporters, including a statement from a fan defending Blythe’s behaviour on the night.

Not long after the trial got underway, Blythe asked for patience from his fans and to be mindful of any misinformation that may occur when translating the Czech language into English.

Patience must also come from within the band and there seems to be a good deal of optimism within Lamb Of God, booking the date before knowing the outcomes of Blythe’s trial. Lamb Of God’s selection of Resurrection Festival to stage their return may turn out to be very appropriate.
