Lana Del Rey Releases New Single ‘Watercolor Eyes’

Lana Del Rey’s prolific patch continues with the release of the new single ‘Watercolor Eyes’.

Released on Friday, 21st January, ‘Watercolor Eyes’ will appear in an upcoming episode of the HBO drama series Euphoria. The soundtrack for Euphoria season two will be released in full on Friday, 25th February.

The new eight episode season of Euphoria kicked off earlier this month. Zendaya is back as the show’s main character, Rue Bennett, alongside Maude Apatow (daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann) as Lexi.

Del Rey released two albums in 2021: Chemtrails Over the Country Club in March and Blue Banisters in October. Del Rey also appeared on Bleachers’ 2021 album, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night, singing co-lead and backing vocals on the tracks ‘Secret Life’ and ‘Don’t Go Dark’ respectively. She was credited as a co-writer on the latter.

Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff was the primary producer of Chemtrails Over the Country Club and Del Rey’s previous album, Norman Fucking Rockwell! (2019).

Meanwhile, Del Rey worked with a wide range of producers on Blue Banisters, including Gabe Simon (The Wombats), Zachary Dawes (Mini Mansions), Drew Erickson (Weyes Blood, The Killers) and Rick Nowels, who co-wrote Del Rey’s previous hits ‘Summertime Sadness’, ‘Lust For Life’ and ‘High By the Beach’.
