Last Dinosaurs have announced a homecoming tour of their native Australia, set to take place this coming August. The tour is in support of their upcoming fifth studio album Kyoryu, which is set for release next week on Tuesday, May 21st. The band will be supported on all dates by New Zealand indie-pop act Fazerdaze. A full run of dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.
The Kyoryu tour will mark Last Dinosaurs’ first national tour since December of 2022. Since then, the band have only played two one-off Australian shows: One in support of Florence + The Machine for their A Day On The Green performance at the Sirromet Winery in Mount Cotton last March, and a stand-alone headlining show at Sydney’s Factory Theatre last September.

In a press statement, the band said that they were “stoked to announce we’re hitting the road in our own backyard”. “We haven’t toured Australia in a hot minute, so we’re keen to show our home crowds what we’ve been cooking up on stage,” they added.
The Brisbane-born indie-rock trio have split up the release of Kyoryu across two EPs. The first, Ryu, was released last November and contained seven tracks. The second, a five-track release dubbed Kyo, was released early last month. These 13 tracks will combined in the final release of Kyoryu next week, along with a previously-unreleased song.
