Joshua Swiger, a WVU faculty member and the producer of the project, says of the song, “This is a really fun song. As I’ve sat here listening to the recording process, it’s giving me some cross-between country Deana Carter’s ‘Strawberry Wine’ mixed with 90s rock—a bit more up-tempo with the same type of story idea. Thought it was a nice twist.”

Lauren Winans hails from West Virginia, where she currently is the host of the popular lifestyle television show, 304 TODAY, on WBOY. The show features lifestyles, culture, and music across the state and region. Winans was recently honored by Governor Jim Justice for her work as a news reporter showcasing the arts and lifestyles in West Virginia.

Don’t miss “Meet Up Spot,” finally dropping on July 30; it’ll be that kind of hit to bring back memories of special places and moments.
