Having already corralled the likes of Bicep, Cyril Hahn, Digital, and James Holden into the splendorous grounds of Werribee Mansion, Let Them Eat Cake 2014 organisers have outdone themselves, adding over 30 more local acts to the roster, including Client Liaison, Mic Newman, Mike Callander and more!
Making sure the sophomore outing bests the hugely successful 2013 debut, Let Them Eat Cake organisers have kicked off the local lineup of their “halcyon world” with Client Liaison. These two music-makers trade in an opulent brand of dance music that they refer to as ‘dance electric’.
Hailing from Melbourne, rising star of house Mic Newman puts the chops learnt growing up in a musical family to crafting internationally-renowned EDM remixes for acts such as Booka Shade. His Fantastic Man moniker has recently been rocking the tops of the Juno charts.
One of Australia’s most dynamic DJs, Revolver-resident and founder of the esteemed Haul Music, Mike Callander has gone from features on Dave Seaman‘s acclaimed mixes to collaborations with Davide Carbone (Future Sound of Melbourne) and T-Rek. Strength to strength you might say.
Meanwhile JPS a.k.a. Jerry Poon will be bringing the chops that saw him accompany Flying Lotus as his official tour DJ. Renowned as one of Melbourne’s most influential DJs, this notorious crate-digger brings the good vibes whether it’s a gallery opening or a warehouse party.
Other names slated for the bill include Silent Jay of rising stars Hiatus Kaiyote, renowned Melbournites Andy Hart & Myles Mac, experimental, genre-bending maestro Digital Primate, New Zealand native Amin PaYnE, the catchy hook-crafting Griff, and many more.
