Grammy-nominated producer Deadmau5 has been busy at work on some new tunes, debuting 7 fresh tracks on his SoundCloud page in the past month alone, letting loose some clips of both his collaboration with dubstep giant Kill The Noise and his production work for fiance Kat Von D‘s debut album.
The Canadian progressive house DJ – or Joel Zimmerman to his ma – has given us snippets of his work with Kill The Noise under the name Killthemau5, dropping 3 clips over the last 3 days. Deadmau5 manages to combine his signature sound with Kill The Noise’s glitchy basslines pretty effortlessly, making for some pretty compelling teasing. There’s no definitive release date for the duo’s work but we’ll be keeping an eager ear out.
As for his work with celebrity tattooist and wife-to-be Kat Von D, there was a demo of a track called Satellite on the SoundCloud page but it appears to have been removed, so you’ll just have to take our word that it features a fairly down-tempo turn for Deadmau5 and some surprisingly non-grating vocals from Von D.
