Earnest in both name and nature, Ernest Ellis are set to release their third full-length studio effort in 2014, with the Sydney-based 4-piece unveiling their latest single Shine Like Me, taken from just-announced forthcoming album Cold Desire.
Ernest Ellis dropped their first two albums, Hunting and King’s Canyon, in just over a year back in 2010 and are now back with a spacier, uncluttered feel, perfectly showcased on Shine Like Me. Cold Desire is released on Friday, 7th March through Spunk Records.
If you like what you hear, you can catch the outfit in the flesh next month, with Ernest Ellis hitting the road to play headlining shows at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on 23rd February and Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar on 28th February.
