LISTEN: Glass Animals – ‘Gooey’

Having carved a niche for spirited, psychedelic indie-pop, Oxfordshire four-piece Glass Animals have returned with their latest offering, Gooey. The track is a taste of what fans can expect from the group’s upcoming debut album and follows their announcement of an Australian headlining tour.

The band are one of the first signings to Paul Epworth‘s Wolf Tone label and Gooey follows a period of intense creative activity for the band, having left their hub in the woodlands of Oxfordshire to lodge at Epworth’s London studio in the spring of 2013, allowing the band to explore new sounds.

This exploration and experimentation, working with analogue and digital technology, transformed the band’s style and even caught the ears of Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood, an ambassador for Independent Venue Week, who booked them for a sold-out show at Oxford’s Jericho Tavern.
