Holiest is the latest cut to be taken from Glass Animals‘ new album, ZABA, out Friday, 6th June through Wolf Tone / Caroline International. The album was recorded at Wolf Tone Studios in London and produced by Glass Animals’ frontman Dave Bayley with input from Paul Epworth (Adele).
“The sound of the record,” says Bayley of the band’s forthcoming debut, “is like a backdrop of man-made wilderness… The lyrics still mean something quite specific to me, but I’ve left them slightly vague. Hopefully other people can identify with them in different ways, finding their own meaning.”
The band are one of the first signings to Epworth’s Wolf Tone label and have even caught the ear of of Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood, an ambassador for Independent Venue Week, who booked them for a sold-out show at Oxford’s Jericho Tavern. Readers can check out Holiest, feat Tei Shi, below.
