Cold Chisel have revealed a new song named All For You, which will be available for download from this Monday (29th August at 9am). This will be their first new recording in 13 years, and has an added special touch to it as it’s the last song drummer Steve Prestwich performed on before passing away in January.
On Monday the Cold Chisel website http://www.coldchisel.com will open up public voting for 5 songs they would like to include on their Best Of album. Everyone who votes will get a free download of their new track.
When frontman Jimmy Barnes was asked about opening up the choice to the public, he said:
“It stops us arguing about what songs to include on the album,” [laughing] “Whenever you compile a record like this, there’s always someone who says ‘why didn’t you include this or that’ … Now we’ve got someone else to blame.”
Starting in October, Cold Chisel will embark on the Light the Nitro Tour – their biggest tour in 30 years, visiting every capital city, as well as regional centres. Next year we should see a new album, their seventh since forming in 1973
