Still with a week left until its official release date, Phoenix have proven to the world that they are absolute mavericks, this time by putting their whole upcoming record, Bankrupt, up to stream over at iTunes.
From the word go it’s obvious the French outfit have put some serious thought into the follow up to 2009’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. The array of sonic delights is far too deliberate for it to be otherwise. The band is, no doubt, eager to make an impression with their first studio album in 4 years.
Previously Phoenix announced that Australians, out of all people, would be the first to take in the new album with a release date of Friday, 19th April. The whole album won’t be totally new; already we’ve heard the single, Entertainment, but for the first time we can hear it within the context of the rest of the album.
Head over to the iTunes site and sit back, your Tuesday night plans have henceforth been cancelled.
