Listen To Spice Girls’ Previously-Unreleased 1996 Track ‘Feed Your Love’

Spice Girls have shared a new EP today. Wannabe 25 is a 4-track offering that features ‘Wannabe’, its demo version, and a remix (by US DJ Junior Vasquez) alongside a previously-unreleased track from that same era. Huge.

The release comes in celebration of the 25-year anniversary of ‘Wannabe’.

‘Feed Your Love’ is a slower, RnB track that was originally intended for their 1996 debut album, Spice.

According to Nylon, the song’s co-writers, Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard and Matt Rowe said the song was shelved as it was too “racy” for the Spice Girls’ audience.

Geri Halliwell, better known as Ginger Spice dug up some old photos from the era.

“Wow. The song that changed the lives of five girls from Britain,” she wrote, sharing the photos on Instagram.

“The first picture was taken in my back garden on a Sunday – we were all listening to the radio together that day we went to number 3 in the charts!!”

Wannabe 25 will receive a physical release too. It’ll arrive on picture disc vinyl and cassette on Friday, 27th August.

Pre-order is available here.
