At just 19 years old, Young Franco is the latest talent to be uncovered by Australia’s booming EDM scene, which has a seemingly endless well of prodigious talent ready to set their sights on world domination. Young Franco’s latest salvo is titled Brooklyn, off the Pilerats Rat Pack #1 compilation.
The rising star first turned heads with the release of his Futurefunk EP — a combination of funk, disco beats, 90s hip-hop, and chiptune electronics — which he gave away to fans for free, earning nods from the illustrious likes of Alison Wonderland, Peking Duk, and Allday in the process.
He’s also making his name known on the live circuit, currently undertaking a national tour and playing the Big Pineapple Music Festival this May. This follows spots supporting the likes of Illy, Drapht, Seth Sentry, Nina Las Vegas, Yolanda Be Cool, Flight Facilities, and What So Not.
