Little Quirks Release New Single And Music Video For ‘Reverie’

Australian indie-folk band Little Quirks has released their latest hit, ‘Reverie,’ via ABC Music. The song is produced by Nick DiDia and mixed by Konstantin Kersting, the track delivers a catchy beat and soaring chorus reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac or the vibes of the TV show Daisy Jones & The Six.

Explaining the inspiration behind the song, the band revealed.  “Reverie is based on a short-lived, long-distance relationship. The feeling where you meet someone, fall in love really fast and you feel immersed in a pleasant sate of daydream. As the song progresses, the daydreams take a darker turn. The couple don’t see each other so much, maybe they didn’t know each other the way they thought they did, but they keep going back to what they had in that moment together. Reverie keeps returning to the phrase ‘I don’t know’ as there is no end to their story yet.”

Little Quirks – ‘Reverie’

Drawing inspiration from The Beatles’ ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ video, the Little Quirks’ guitarist Abby shared. “We wanted to do something otherworldly and a little dark to represent the feeling you get from Reverie. We went into a forest one afternoon with a camera and our very talented Dad filmed & edited the clip. We had a lot of fun experimenting with weird shots and characters. We ended the shoot with a big tea party we set up in Jaymi’s backyard. We wanted it to be unknown whether the dreamlike state of the video was a good or bad dream. This ties into the complex love story of ‘Reverie’.”

Despite their rising success, Little Quirks maintain a DIY ethos, handling everything from recordings to stage costumes themselves. With their infectious energy and commitment to making music fun, Little Quirks are poised to captivate audiences worldwide.
