UPDATE 23/08/16: The full lineup for Falls Festival 2016/2017 has been announced.
ORIGINAL STORY: Childish Gambino has already been locked in as one of the headliners of this year’s Falls Festival, and now organisers have added another name ahead of the full lineup reveal this afternoon.
British three-piece London Grammar will be playing the festival in Victoria’s Lorne, NSW’s Byron Bay, Tassie’s Marion Bay and — for the first time ever — WA’s Fremantle.
The news was revealed on triple j this morning, along with a teaser that the full lineup will be with us before the end of the working day.
This is the second time London Grammar have been named on a Falls Festival lineup. They last played the festival in 2013, showcasing songs off their debut album If You Wait.
This time around fans will be treated to some new material from their forthcoming second album, which the band have described as “something between Pocahontas and Fleetwood Mac”. Just spend a moment trying to imagine exactly what that will sound like…

London Grammar are exclusive to Falls Festival, meaning they will be playing no sideshows on top of the festival, just like Childish Gambino.
