Lorde, known lover of Cadbury Creme Eggs, has just upgraded the lyrics to her smash single ‘Green Light’ in a stirring tribute to the gooey Easter treat.

Echoing the sentiments of many Kiwis and Aussies who’ve travelled to the US only to discover that its domestically produced chocolate tastes a bit like poo, the alt-pop kween did not hold back in her interview with BBC Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw, telling him that “I’ve been in America, and the chocolate is not very good”.
Her Lordeship then went on to perform an A+ Weird Al-style parody of her flagship Melodrama track, with hilarious BBC-masterminded lyrical upgrades that culminated in the climactic chorus refrain: “I’m waiting for it, that creme egg, I want it!” #Genius
Watch Lorde perform the ode to her love of Creme Eggs in the video below, and ICYMI Aussie fans are super pissed that the chocolate lover was not featured on today’s Splendour In The Grass 2017 lineup announcement, despite her previously telling fans that she’d be touring Australia “sooner than people think”.
Boo-urns!
