Luca Brasi frontman Tyler Richardson has announced that he will embark on a run of intimate solo acoustic dates to see out 2024. The tour, dubbed An Evening With Richo, will see the St. Helens singer-songwriter performing songs from across the band’s six-album discography, as well as selections from his debut solo album, 2022’s Heaven In The Suburbs.
Richardson will be undertaking the tour to promote the band’s new live album Live & Acoustic In Melbourne – which, as the title suggests, is the recording of a live set the band (minus drummer Danny Flood) played last year. It features nine tracks, including songs from the band’s most recent studio album The World Don’t Owe You Anything, which was released in September 2023.

Richardson last toured solo in 2022, opening for Sly Withers on a national tour alongside Moaning Lisa. It came after the release of Heaven In The Suburbs, which Richardson recorded with Slowly Slowly frontman Ben Stewart. Luca Brasi, meanwhile, completed a national tour earlier in the year with American emo-rock band Spanish Love Songs in support.
In July, Richardson appeared on A Current Affair alongside his wife Alix and their infant son Harris (AKA ‘Haz’). A cancerous growth was found in Harris’ abdomen at one year old, and the Richardson family was forced to relocate to Melbourne from Tasmania as treatment was unavailable in Hobart. A GoFundMe, started by Luca Brasi guitarist Patrick Marshall, raised nearly $170,000 to support the family through their relocation and Harris’ treatment.
In the past, Australian families of children with neuroblastoma have been forced to travel to the US in order to access a treatment drug known as DFMO. In August, Health Minister Mark Butler announced that DFMO will now be accessible for free in Australian hospitals. At a press conference, Butler said that this was done in order to “give these kids every chance of survival”.
