The identity of M83‘s newest band member has been officially revealed.
You may recall the French group announced a worldwide open audition for a new singer/keyboardist last month to replace departing member, Morgan Kibby.
Well, figurehead Anthony Gonzalez has today announced that the search has ended, and unveiled Texan keys wizard Kaela Sinclair as the lucky recruit.
“It was really difficult to choose a new singer for the band but when I saw @kaelasinclair it was obvious she would be perfect!” Gonzalez tweeted.

The rainbow-haired muso – who released her debut album Sun In Mirror in 2013 – will be joining the band for their forthcoming Aussie tour dates, which were announced just days ago.
“I think @kaelasinclair is amazing and I can’t wait for you to meet her. See you at one of the shows,” Gonzalez added.

Sinclair has also hit social media to share her exciting news, saying: “I feel extremely fortunate to have been chosen by Anthony (M83 frontman, synth-wizard) and can’t wait to make music in Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada, and all over America. I’m a happy, lucky girl.”

Meanwhile, M83 recently announced the long-awaited follow-up to their 2011 album, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming (which included universally-loved banger Midnight City).
Their seventh studio album, dubbed Junk, is set to drop on Friday 8th April, and you can check out its first single Do It, Try It, below as well.
