Man Charged For Alleged Indecent Assault Of Two Boys At NSW Festival

NSW police have arrested and charged a man over the alleged aggravated indecent assault of two young boys at a festival in Moulamein NSW.

This past Friday 3rd April a 10-year-old boy was in the bathroom area at the festival, where he was allegedly approached by a 43-year-old man who indecently assaulted him. According to the police statement, the man attempted to carry the child away but lost his footing and fell over. The boy then ran away and back to his parents.

While police did not specify which festival the boy was attending, the volunteer run non-profit event ConFest Music Festival was held in the same location, about 12Km from Moulamein, this past weekend.

Police also say that the same man indecently assaulted another seven-year-old boy while they were using a “lilo” – a flotation device – at a nearby river. The man was found by police and arrested at the location at about 7.30pm on Friday.

The man has been charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault. He appeared before Deniliquin Local Court on Sunday 5th April and was refused bail. He will appear at Griffith Local Court on Wednesday 8th April.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
