Mastodon Cover ‘The Flaming Lips’ On Record Store Day Release

Those Mental maniacs Mastodon will be covering The Flaming Lips song A Spoonful Weighs a Ton as part of a Record Day on April 21st.

Pitchfork say the cover will feature on a (apparently baby pink) 7-inch with The Flaming Lips original on side A and Mastodon’s cover on Side B.

As previously reported, a 7-inch split between Mastodon and Canadian songstress Feist will have her tackle Mastodon’s Black Tongue from their 2011 record The Hunter, while Mastodon cover A Commotion from Feist’s 2011 album Metals. There are no details on the vinyls colour…
