Despite work proceeding on the highly anticipated new Tool album, frontman of the legendary alternative outfit Maynard James Keenan has found time to put his ridiculously detailed and opulent Beachwood mansion, located in the Hollywood Hills and valued at US$2.795 million, on the market.
“Tucked underneath the Hollywood sign is 3180 Hollyridge Dr. Sited on a ridge at the top of Beachwood Canyon with no adjoining neighbours, this unique home offers privacy and seclusion for the discerning,” reads the equally lavish description by US online real estate database Zillow.
Though LA real estate blog Curbed Los Angeles is less adoring, calling the house “hideous.” According to Curbed, the 2001 island-themed house is filled with bounties from Keenan’s travels to Bali and other exotic locales. Keenan attended a school for interior design before forming Tool.
