Meet The New Aussie Metal Festival Curated & Co-Headlined By King Parrot

Bust out the Bonox, because Australia just scored itself a brand new travelling metal circus co-curated, co-founded and co-headlined by Melbourne riff crushers King Parrot, together with US heavyweight death/thrash giants Revocation.

With the self-explanatory title of “Thrash, Blast and Grind Fest”, the new event is set to crack necks at venues across the country throughout February of 2017, taking in stops in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

The full lineup is still TBA, but from the two headliners alone it’s already shaping up to be summer’s most brutal bash.

“We’ve wanted to put on a great value tour with awesome local and international bands for sometime now. Thrash, Blast and Grind Fest has given us this opportunity,” says Youngy from King Parrot.

“Once the full line-up is announced we’ll be proud to stand behind a new fest that is diverse, value for money and in the best venues in Australia and NZ. A true touring fest by the bands for the fans.”

In other words: they’re not here to fuck spiders.

A “large 2nd announcement” is apparently due to arrive in the coming weeks, including national and international acts, with KP throwing the door open to local bands to open each show in their home city.

But for now, catch all the dates below.
