Megadeth Have Begun Mixing New Album

Megadeth have entered the mixing stage of their forthcoming record – according to an update from frontman Dave Mustaine.

Mustaine did a brief post on his Facebook page, in which he told fans that he was “pumped” about the new material, and that they’ll soon have some tracks to listen to.

“Played guitar, sang, & did minor adjustments yesterday to songs 1-4. Mixing has begun & you’ll have something soon to hear! I’m so pumped!!”

His update also came as a new video of the guys in the studio was released – the latest in their ongoing series of studio updates. Check it out at the bottom of the page.

Bass player David Elleson also commented on Facebook earlier in the week, saying that the music is starting to sound like their old-school tunes.

‎”Having a great week here at Vic’s Garage laying down bass on the new songs. Really some great, great songs taking shape at this point in the recording process. I told Dave today that one of them totally reminded me of the earliest stuff back when we first met. Fast, ripppin’ and fully bringing the REAL old-school MEGADETH sound!!!” he wrote.

Megadeth have no shows lined up for 2013 thus far, except for a slot at the Sonisphere Festival in Milan, Italy on June 8.
