Melbourne International Film Festival Unveils Impressive ‘Music On Film’ Program

August is set to be a good ole month for Melbourne movie buffs, with the Melbourne International Film Festival rolling out their impressive programming details for their 2019 season.

Taking place from August 1st – 18th this year, the festival is jam-packed with films for its 68th year including 259 feature films, 160 Australian premieres, 31 world premieres and 16 virtual reality experiences, which is massive.

For music doco-heads, there’s plenty to get around with this year’s Music On Film Program. From hip-hop to gospel, iconic rock n’ roll and pop, the list of features – which includes the Aretha Franklin Amazing Grace concert documentary and PJ Harvey’s A Dog Called Money – has something for everyone.
