Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Sadie Mustoe has just unveiled her new single ‘I Find You Interesting’ – produced by Ben Irawan and Aaron Dobos (The Avalanches, Angus & Julia Stone).
Drawing inspiration from luminaries Lizzy McAlpine and Florence & The Machine, the artist’s latest offering is a shimmering slice of indie-folk-pop storytelling that was born earlier this year when she was sick with a cold and felt the itch to “sing and write”.
Sadie Mustoe – ‘I Find You Interesting’
“Every moment that happens in this song I can picture in my head because the images are what I started with,” Mustoe explains in a press statement. “Someone sitting at a bar, in a cinema, a locket necklace around their neck. To me, the song is incredibly visual.”
She continues: “The story ended up becoming one about curiosity. Centring around someone who is introverted, mysterious and potentially a little lonely and the narrator who finds them so interesting yet struggles to form a connection.”
You can stream ‘I Find You Interesting’ up above, or catch Sadie performing it live at a one-off show at Melbourne’s Workers Club on Saturday, 21st December.
