Meredith 2014 Lineup Gets The War On Drugs, Ticket Ballot Now Open

The organisers of Meredith Music Festival 2014 have announced the launch of their annual ticket ballot and added the first band to their lineup.

Aunty Meredith has also confirmed that Meredith 2014 will run over 54 continuous hours on 12th, 13th, and 14th December this year, and will feature a performance by The War On Drugs.

The Philadelphia indie rockers are responsible for Aunty Meredith’s favourite album of this year, the universally acclaimed Lost In A Dream. It’ll be the latest Aussie sojourn from The War On Drugs, who previously travelled Down Under for lauded stints at Falls Festival and Harvest Festival 2012.

“We guarantee we will continue to listen, fix things if they don’t work, not fix the ain’t brokens and Keep On Making Meredith AmaZinger,” says Aunty Meredith. To that end, organisers have decided to keep MMF 2013‘s capacity restrictions, which were reduced by 500 people from previous years.

As usual, the ballot for Meredith 2014 ensures most tickets go to subscribers. Just head over to the Meredith website before 9:47pm on Monday, 11th August 2014, and go from there. The only type of ticket available is the Full Meredith Experience — three days and two nights, including camping and parking — which is priced at $318.80 + $10 booking. Registered post will cost you an additional $7.
