Metallica, Childish Gambino & Arctic Monkeys Lead Austin City Limits’ Bonkers 2018 Lineup

Paul McCartney, Metallica, Childish Gambino and Arctic Monkeys are set to headline this year’s insanely packed Austin City Limits festival.

2018 marks the 17th year of the Texas event, and organisers have truly spared no expense in giving us a mammoth lineup. Besides the aforementioned headliners, Travis Scott, Odesza and The National will also be performing, as will pop superstars Khalid, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, as well as certified legends like David Byrne, Justice, Janelle Monáe and Lily Allen.

Interestingly, only one Australian act appears on the bill, in the form of the all-conquering Gang Of Youths. Last year, Aussies like Vance Joy, Alison Wonderland, RÜFÜS, Amy Shark, Tash Sultana and Middle Kids played the festival.

Austin City Limits’ sister festival, Sydney City Limits, made its debut here in February, and it sported a few acts from ACL’s 2017 bill, like The Head and the Heart, Thundercat, Vance Joy, Tash Sultana and Amy Shark. So this year’s mammoth ACL bill could give us some clues as to who organisers might have their eyes on for Sydney City Limits 2019.

Austin City Limits will take place between the 5th & 7th and 12th & 14th October. Check out the full lineup in all its glory below, and head to the festival’s official website for more details.
