MGMT Return With New Single ‘Little Dark Age’

After teasing fans with lyrics from a new song, indie heroes MGMT have returned with a new single dubbed ‘Little Dark Age’, as the first taste of their upcoming album of the same name.

The duo’s foreboding new track — which you can watch the music video for, below — is the first studio recording to be shared from MGMT’s upcoming record, after the band debuted several new songs live earlier this year.

The video, which was directed by Nathaniel Axel and David MacNutt, features snippets of MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser getting their goth on, and basically “re-dominating your mind hole” once again.

The Little Dark Age album is expected to be released in early 2018, and was produced by MGMT, Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift, Kelela, Blood Orange) and Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Spoon, Tame Impala). It will be MGMT’s fourth album, and the follow-up to 2013’s self-titled record.
