Good news, 80’s cult movie fans!
Molly Ringwald, star of The Breakfast Club, 16 Candles and Pretty In Pink, is coming to Australia to tour… with her jazz band.
Yep, the girl who single-handedly popularised gingerness – thereby improving the social status of sauceheads and freckle farts everywhere (and I can totally vouch for that because I am one) – will be gracing us with her goddess presence next month.
John Hughes’ muse will be performing 8 intimate dates in June, accompanied by her backing band, with shows booked in Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney, Bendigo, Canberra and three – count ’em three – in Melbourne (lucky bums).
The talent-packed paragon of rangdom released her debut album Except Sometimes back in 2013 which FYI includes a bitchin’ jazz cover of Simple Minds’ fist pumpin’ 1985 Breakfast Club anthem (Don’t You) Forget About Me.
