Mötley Crüe Add New Show To Final Australian Tour

Written by Tom Williams on March 13, 2015

Due to overwhelming demand, Mötley Crüe‘s last-ever world tour, The Final Tour, now has a second and final Melbourne date. The performance, which will be the Crüe’s final Melbourne show EVER, will take place at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday, 13th May.

Australian fans will have the chance to see Mötley Crüe perform their final ever shows in Australia during headline dates this May in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, with Crüe drummer Tommy Lee bringing his Cruecifly drum coaster down under for the tour.

Announced last month, the Australian leg of The Final Tour will see support sets from legendary hard rocker Alice Cooper, who explained the connection between himself and Mötley Crüe in a recent interview with Music Feeds.

“They did the hair, they did the makeup and we were a big influence on them. So when they decided to do this final tour – the tour that was going to be the end of all tours, — they said, ‘You’re our biggest influence, why don’t you come and do the show with us?’ And I said, ‘Great idea, we’ll do it!’

“We’d known each other for all this time and yet we’d never worked together.”

Mötley Crüe last toured Australia in early 2013, with KISS and Thin Lizzy, and released their latest studio album, Saints of Los Angeles, in 2008. Alice Cooper was last on Aussie shores back in 2011.

The Final Tour will wrap up in Mötley Crüe’s hometown of Los Angeles on 31st December. The band will legally part ways following the tour.

Australian tour and ticket details are available below. Music Feeds’ full interview with Alice Cooper will be published shortly.
