Mudrat has shared his second new track of 2025, entitled ‘You Don’t Care About Poor People’. The Melbourne-born rapper, singer and activist co-wrote the new song with its producer, Noah Sale, as well as his live drummer Emile Battour and frequent collaborator Kieran Fergusson. It follows on from last month’s ‘Last Night’, which itself followed last December’s ‘Year Of The Rat’.
The artist has not given any press statements about the song. He has, however, alluded to its main characters Big Johnny and Little Becky when sharing the clip to his social media. “Don’t let Johnny and Becky make you lose sight of the fact that only 3000 people are hoarding $16.1 trillion dollars worth of wealth,” he wrote. “It’s us vs. them.” The song can be streamed via YouTube below.

2025 has seen Mudrat open for Denzel Curry in Melbourne as part of the American rapper’s Australian tour, as well as performing at St. Kilda Festival and a sold-out Sydney show as part of this year’s Great Southern Nights concert series. June will see the rapper and his band performing at this year’s Thrashville festival in Lower Belford, alongside Private Function and King Parrot.
