Hey there you local scene scuttlers, get ready for Fuzzbox, the most fuzztastic experience this side of the law.
Fuzzbox is a new monthly night happening at The Loft, UTS featuring a couple of up and
coming indie/electronic/whatever bands and a couple of DJs. But there aren’t any strict rules to what’s on the bill. Expect a few different surprises in the future…film screenings perhaps?
The Loft is tucked away next to the UTS Tower building at Broadway, just opposite Central Station. It’s kind of a well kept Sydney secret. The room’s big enough to get rowdy in but not so big you lose the party zen. And if you couldn’t be stuffed partying there’s a leafy, fairy-lit courtyard to chill out in. But the best thing about Fuzzbox is it’s absolutely free.
The opening night saw The Small Hours and The Small Hours playing to a full room and the next lineup’s even bigger. Papa Vs Pretty have had a big year already, showing off their young indie/pop/punk talents at the Laneway, Peats Ridge and Parklife festivals. The Waysiders have just got back onto the live seen with a new set that has drawn comparisons to Sonic Youth, The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Velvet Underground.
It’s gonna be a pretty energetic night in a pretty packed room, so come cram in to Fuzzbox.
