New Soundwave Timetables Address Clashes

Soundwave head honcho AJ Maddah has heeded the complaints of festivalgoers (what he labelled ‘Whingefest 2013’) and realigned the playing times of some headlining acts at Soundwave 2013.

Like any music festival, there are bound to be some conflicts when two popular bands are playing at the same time. It’s a similar problem to choosing which outfit to wear, or what brand of toilet paper to wipe your ass with, which is to say it’s not really a problem at all.

Sydney and Brisbane has perhaps the ‘dramatic’ clash with Metallica, Blink 182 and Offspring all headlining their assigned stage. Maddah had posted on Twitter that this conflict unfortunately could not be undone as Blink-182 needs to play late due to their accompanying light show – the tweet now appears to have been deleted.

Maddah has successfully resolved the clash of playing times between Sleeping With Sirens and Pierce The Veil while, as pre-empted by Maddah, Adelaide and Melbourne sees The Amity Affliction swapped their time slot with Bring Me The Horizon. Extremely popular acts Slayer and A Perfect Circle also exchanged stages.

You can find the revised Sydney and Brisbane timetables here, Melbourne here and Adelaide here. The Perth timetable is expected to hit the internet some time later today.
