It’s a big year for the iconic Newtown Festival, as the inner west event is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018. Now, it has finally announced its latest live music lineup.
With a lineup exclusively featuring artists from the area, this year’s live music program features the likes of Palms, Exhibitionist, The Kid Laroi and loads more.
Serving as a primary fundraiser for the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, the festival has been using the funds it raises to help those who need it in the region.
Liz Yeo, the centre’s CEO, elaborated on why the festival is so important in a statement earlier this year.
“While the Festival has grown and changed significantly over those 40 years, it has remained true to its core purpose – to be a Festival that inspires and supports social change,” she said.
Newtown Festival will be taking place from 9:30am to 5:30pm on Sunday, 11th November at Newtown’s Camperdown Memorial Rest Park.
