Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ Video Gets A Director’s Cut

The 20-year re-release of Nirvana‘s seminal final album In Utero is nearly upon us ,and the surviving members of the legendary grunge outfit have dropped one of the album’s special extras on us early with the director’s cut of the Heart-Shaped Box video.

You can take a look at the clip for the lead single from the album the way director Anton Corbijn intended it to be below, alongside the version that made it to TV. There’s not a huge amount of difference between the two but the bits and pieces that didn’t make it to the final version are a little bone chilling, with more appearances from that creepy little girl and the woman in the bodysuit.

The In Utero deluxe edition has a US release date of 24th September, available as a 3 CD/1 DVD pack with two versions of the album, a never before heard instrumental track, Dave Grohl‘s first demo of Marigold, a recording of the December 1993 Live And Loud gig in Seattle and the DVD footage of the same gig.
