Oasis Announce First Australian Shows In 20 Years For 2025

Oasis have announced Australian dates as part of their Live 25 world tour, which will see the band return to Sydney and Melbourne next October for their first-ever stadium shows in the country. The shows will take place almost exactly 20 years removed from their last tour here, which came in November 2005 in support of their sixth studio album Don’t Believe The Truth. Dates and ticketing information for their 2025 shows can be found below.

The announcement was preceded by a series of billboards going up across both Sydney and Melbourne over the weekend, which sported the band’s logo and their reunion press photo. “Australia: It’s your shout!” they read, which also confirmed the tour’s announce date as today (October 8th). NME had previously leaked that both Sydney and Melbourne would be on the Live 25 tour itinerary, following the band’s initial announcement of shows in Ireland and their native UK.

The Live 25 tour will comprise only headlining shows from the band, as representatives have confirmed they will not be performing at any music festivals such as Coachella or Glastonbury. At the time of writing, only brothers Liam (vocals) and Noel (guitar, vocals) Gallagher have been confirmed as part of Oasis’ 2025 line-up.

As Music Feeds had previously reported, the Gallagher brothers have continued to visit Australia in the ensuing decades since Oasis’ acrimonious split circa 2009. Liam and the remaining members of the final Oasis line-up – Andy Bell (also of Ride), Gem Archer and touring drummer Chris Sharrock – formed the band Beady Eye. They released two studio albums and toured Australia as part of the final Big Day Out line-up in early 2014 before splitting themselves later that year.

Liam then began a solo career, which has brought him to Australia three times: The 2017/18 new-year period, December 2019 (which included headlining the final Fairgrounds Festival to date) and again in July 2022 as part of Splendour In The Grass.

Noel, meanwhile, formed a new project entitled Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds in 2010. The band have released four studio albums to date, and have toured Australia three times: The 2012 Big Day OutBluesfest in 2016 and supporting U2 on their 2019 Joshua Tree tour.
