Americana themed music festival Out On The Weekend has today announced the details of its 2015 edition, expanding to Sydney for its second year and featuring the likes of Kasey Chambers, Dawes, Sam Outlaw, Jamestown Revival, Ruby Boots and super-group Tex, Don & Charlie.
Named after the Neil Young track from his 1972 album Harvest, Out On The Weekend, explains promoter Brian “BT” Taranto of Love Police, “is about musical discovery and trust. I travel the world and spend a lotta time listening to new music both abroad and down the street. This event allows me a platform to introduce newcomers and future superstars I find, as well celebrating those acts that have made it in the field.”
After a successful debut outing last year, which saw the festival expand to Brissie after an overwhelming response to the initial announcement, Out On The Weekend offers a unique musical experience in an increasingly packed festival landscape and will take place in Melbourne and Sydney this October.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, unless you’re under 12 years old (which firstly, why are you reading this, go to school!), because for you, it’s free! Check out the full lineup for each city and ticketing details below!
