Palms Announce MATES Mini-Festival Lineup

Sydney crew Palms have accrued a bunch of musically-inclined pals to join the lineup for the inaugural Mates mini-festival, set to take Sydney by storm this coming January with all the proceeds going towards the non-profit organisation, Support Act.

Palms themselves, fresh off the stage of The Blurst Of Times festivals, will take one of the two stages during the event to be held at the Lansdowne on January 25th 2015. All profits from the festival will go to Support Act, an organisation which provides a safety net for music professionals facing hardship.

Joining them will be Straight Arrows, Bad Dreems, Gooch Palms, Shining Bird, Bloods, Richard In Your Mind, Spod, Hockey Dad, Babaganouj, Mining Boom, The Fabergettes, Foam, Woodboot, Low Lux, Tempura Nights and a secret headliner still to be announced.

“The idea for Mates was born out of a pretty simple idea really: that playing shows with your friends rules,” explains Palms frontman Alex Grigg. “So cramming as many of your friends’ bands as possible onto the one bill should be the best time in a long time, right? Logic has never been our strong point, but that’s what we’re hoping for anyway…”

Tickets for the Palms-curated Mates festival are available now. See the lineup below.
