So-hot-right-now Sydney indie rockers Papa Vs Pretty are back, gearing up for the release of studio album number two and gifting us with glorious nuggets like the clip for latest single Smother, in which we find out what happens when you try and put the outfit in a box…literally.
Smother is a glorious mix of perfect riffs and pop sensibilities, just what we’ve come to expect from the Thomas Rawle-led quartet, while the video takes its inspiration from the song’s title. It’s directed by Alex Ryan, the guy behind the video for The Cairo‘s Obsession, as well as Manic Baby and Is This How You Feel from The Preatures.
Papa Vs Pretty are set to drop their sophomore full-length effort, White Deer Park, on Friday, 21st February. You can also catch them live at Secret Garden Festival (if you can get a ticket), as well as a handful of headlining dates around New South Wales.
