Lube up your vocal cords because Paramore have announced their own internet-wide karaoke competition, appropriately dubbed ~Paraoke~.
A hallmark of their beloved Parahoy cruise over in the US, the comp is now going global in honour of Hayley Williams & co’s new single, ‘Rose-coloured Boy’.
The band are planning to pick several winners, but the grand prize will be a trip to the final date of their After Laughter Summer Tour! of the US, happening on July 24 in Morrison, Colorado.
“Paraoke is back on land!” a statement on the band’s website reads. “Start your vocal warm ups and get your phones out because we want to see your best renditions of ‘Rose-coloured Boy’.
“Whether you sing a long, cover in your own way, dance or recreate the video – send ’em our way! We’ll be picking a
couple of winners and the grand prize is a trip to the final date of The After Laughter Summer Tour“.
Now, the terms and conditions don’t state whether they’re down to fly the winner over from another country, like, say, Australia. But it doesn’t not say so either, and that’s good enough for us.
You can catch all the details about how to enter the comp right here.
The announcement comes after Hayley bared her soul in a powerful essay about her recent mental health struggles, confessing that writing After Laughter “kept me alive”.
