PARK RD Announce Debut Album ‘The Novel’

New Zealand rockers PARK RD are all set to release their new album “The Novel” on the 24th of May. The album’s announcement comes with the release of the new single ‘Call Me Up’, which comes with an amazing music video.

They shared. “Call Me Up was the last song to come from the album. During the album’s recording process, quite often when Leo wasn’t needed, he would be in another room cooking up something on his computer. One afternoon Carlos and I came in and Leo was working on the start of this song. I remember dancing around the room and Carlos started singing the chorus melody using the lyrics “bring it back”. “

He further added, “We forgot about the song after that until months later when I was at home playing some chords on the piano that reminded me of the song. I suddenly remembered all the melodies and starting singing “call me up” over the chorus melody. The song is about getting ready before a night out, sometimes getting ready is just as fun as the night out for me.” mentioned the lead vocalist Tom Chamberlain.

“The Novel” is not just an album but it is a proof of the band’s growth as musicians and performers. “It feels like its own little world. The main theme of the album is definitely love.” Says the band about the album. Each track in the album provides a different perspective on love and life. From ‘Postcard’ to ‘Call Me Up’ all the songs in the album portrayes the versality and creativity of the band. After their debut Australian Show last year, they are all set to support The Rions in their May-June tour.
