Paul Kelly Announces ‘Making Gravy’ Live Shows In Melbourne And Brisbane

What better way to ring in the end of a bloody chaotic year, than a good old, comforting Paul Kelly live show.

He’s announced two very special Making Gravy shows for the end of the year in Melbourne and Brisbane, where he’ll be headed with his live band. To sweeten the deal, he’s locked in a bunch of special guests to come along for the ride, in Ball Park Music, Sycco  and Emma Donovan & The Putbacks.

“The band and I are really looking forward to getting back to some shows again after the disappointment of last year and the frustration of this,” Paul said in the official press release.

“We have some extra Christmas content this year and a great line up of artists and guests to help us bring it all home.”

Melbourne fans will be treated to the show at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Thursday, 9th December.

For those up in Brissy, you can catch the show on Saturday, 18th December at the iconic Riverstage.

Now in its fourth year, Kelly’s Making Gravy shows have become synonymous with the festive season. The show celebrates the music of one of Australia’s most prominent musicians, and with a career spanning four decades, there’s no shortage of excellent works to be heard.

Kelly is currently gearing up to release a massive 22-song double album, titled Paul Kelly’s Christmas Train, which will feature musicians and personalities like Marlon Williams, Emma Donovan, Waleed Aly and more. The Christmas album will be released on Friday, 19th November.

He’s teamed up with BK Wines to release a special edition vintage wine to accompany the album too.

Frontier Members can gain access to pre-sale tickets from Thursday, 4th November. It will run for 24 hours, or until allocation has run out, from 12PM AEDT.

Tickets to the general public go on sale on Monday, 8th November at 1PM local time.
